When you join Verizon

Verizon is one of the world’s leading providers of technology and communications services, transforming the way we connect across the globe. We’re a diverse network of people driven by our shared ambition to shape a better future. Here, we have the ability to learn and grow at the speed of technology, and the space to create within every role. Together, we are moving the world forward – and you can too. Dream it. Build it. Do it here.

What you’ll be doing...

You’ll ensure that all is running efficiently in the office. You’ll be answering calls, greeting guests, planning travel, scheduling appointments, and essentially taking care of the day-to-day. You’ll pull together reports and presentations, or you might plan an event or an office move. Your role is essential to building an environment where everyone can do their best work.

  • Scheduling and arranging meetings and appointments for C-Suite level executives.

  • Answering calls and greeting visitors.

  • Preparing reports, presentations, proposals, and correspondence, including materials for board meetings.

  • Onboarding new administrative team members.

  • Finding new ways to increase office efficiency and innovative ways to support the team.

  • Partnering and trusted support to C-suite level executives and senior-level managers.

  • Performing a variety of specialized, complex, and confidential administrative assistance duties for the members of the Board of Trustees.

What we’re looking for...

You’re motivated by being an integral part of the team, doing your part to enable others to do their job well. You enjoy a fast-paced environment and working towards tight deadlines. You’re phenomenal at developing your own process that keeps you organized and on schedule, while ensuring those you support stay prepared and informed. You are ready to lend a hand to others—and happy to do what it takes to support the team.

You’ll need to have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.

  • Experience working with the Board of Directors.

  • Experience interpreting, applying, and explaining pertinent laws, regulations, rules, policies, procedures, and directions.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree.

  • Experience juggling multiple high priority projects.

  • Experience supporting a team for their administrative needs.

  • Demonstrated ability to stay organized and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of work.

  • Ability to communicate the content, intent, and spirit of information accurately.

If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.

Where you’ll be working In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.
